Our Mission

 We believe that God has given the church the Great Commission to proclaim the Gospel to all peoples so that there might be a great multitude from every nation, tribe, ethnic group, and language group who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. As ambassadors of Christ we must use all available means to reach our local, regional, national, and global communities with the gospel. (Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:46-48; John 20:21; Acts 1:8; 2 Cor. 5:20)

Our History

Harvest Time FWB Church began in 1984, when the mission board for Free Will Baptist sent TIm and Kathy Coats to Rapid City to start a church. The church met in a variety of places during the first few years from the Coats’ home, to a hotel banquet facility, and finally to a rented building in Box Elder. In 1992, the church voted to purchase the building at 616 Box Elder Rd. West.

In 2015, there was a fire that destroyed the church building. A new facility was built on the same property in 2017. The first pastor, Tim Coats, was killed in a hunting accident shortly before the congregation would enter the new facility. The first service in the present building took place in August of 2017.
